Genius is Booking.com's free loyalty programme. The more you book, the higher you climb in levels, and the more you access discounts and benefits at certain partner hotels.

The 3 Genius Levels

• Level 1 — 2 bookings over 2 years. Up to 10% discount on Genius-marked hotels.
• Level 2 — 5 bookings over 2 years. Up to 15%, plus complimentary breakfast or room upgrade depending on the hotel.
• Level 3 — 15 bookings over 2 years. Up to 20%, plus priority benefits.

Is the Genius Discount Really Worthwhile?

1. The percentage applies to the public Booking price, not the best market price. A negotiated rate via a private club is often already 15 to 30% below the public price — before any Genius discount.
2. Not all hotels participate. During periods of high demand, many hotels deactivate the promotion.

How to Become Genius Quickly

• Link a single Booking account to all your reservations (business + personal).
• One night in a rural guesthouse counts as much as a suite in Paris.
• Cancelled refundable bookings do not count.

How to Remove Genius on Booking?

The status is tied to the account, so you don't "deactivate" it. You can filter Genius hotels via the search, or compare with another channel to check for the best price.
