Yes for a real road trip: a car remains essential for Saint-Tropez, the hinterland and beaches outside town centres. Nice, Monaco and Cannes are also easily connected by train if you prefer not to drive on the Corniche.
Expect €200 to €400/day/person mid-range (4★ sea-view hotel, restaurants, rental, fuel, tolls). In high season, accommodation budget can double in Saint-Tropez and Monaco.
